Cup o’ Pandemic

Hurt. Pain. Nothing is right. All is broken. It can’t go back to the way it was. Tears. Sorrow. Death. But it can’t be thrown away either. So, I kept it. And let it be. All the pieces. They are all there. In a different way. And that’s ok. There’s a beauty there. There’s shadows too. And a new shape. There's a really dark space, it looks hollowed out, but maybe it's a refuge or a shelter place. I see new highlights, in unexpected places. New ways of seeing it. Things I never noticed. Curves. Sharp edges. Design. Things I took for granted. And I noticed it reflects, sometimes. I can even see me. I have to be careful. It can still cut. Hurt. But every time I look at it, I see a new perspective, and how fragile it was all along.
